NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on Nasdaq at the close of trading:

ESSA Bancorp Inc. : Approximately 538,600 shares changed hands, a 2,968.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.02 or .2 percent to $11.18.

eGain Communications Corp. : Approximately 643,100 shares changed hands, a 1,757.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.63 or 7.9 percent to $7.31.

EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. : Approximately 8,062,800 shares changed hands, a 3,375.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $6.68 or 20.7 percent to $25.56.

Ikonics Corp. : Approximately 26,400 shares changed hands, a 1,571.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.02 or .3 percent to $7.94.
