Midday Glance: Gold companies

NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are mixed at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.42 or 1.3 percent, to $32.94.

Gold Fields fell $.11 or .9 percent, to $11.91.

GoldCorp. rose $.15 or .4 percent, to $36.03.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.46 or 1.0 percent, to $44.79.
