DR Horton fell $.28 or 1.2 percent, to $23.44.

Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. rose $.02 or .4 percent, to $5.34.

Lennar Corp. fell $.27 or .7 percent, to $40.70.

Pulte Homes Inc. fell $.05 or .3 percent, to $19.69.
