NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top silver companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Hecla Mining Co. unchanged at $5.63.

Pan American Silver Corp. fell $.02 or .1 percent, to $18.41.

Silver Standard Resources Inc. rose $.58 or 4.0 percent, to $15.11.

Silver Wheaton rose $.66 or 1.9 percent, to $35.26.
