Grain futures mostly fall, livestock prices rise


CHICAGO (AP) — Grain prices mostly fell Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slipped 1.50 cent to $7.54 a bushel; March corn fell 2.75 cents to $6.8650 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.3775 a bushel; while March soybeans dropped 21.50 cents to $13.65 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle added 0.10 cent to $1.3395 a pound; March feeder cattle rose 0.80 cent to $1.5570 a pound; February lean hogs added 0.65 cent to 87.05 cents a pound.
