NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

BPZ Resources Inc. : Approximately 3,036,900 shares changed hands, a 513.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.25 or 8.6 percent to $3.15.

Blackrock Strategic Municipal Trust : Approximately 150,800 shares changed hands, a 626.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.04 or .3 percent to $14.84.

China Fund : Approximately 636,600 shares changed hands, a 782.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.37 or 1.8 percent to $21.41.

Duff & Phelps Corp. : Approximately 3,902,000 shares changed hands, a 2,716.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $2.57 or 19.7 percent to $15.62.

Federated Invest B : Approximately 11,075,000 shares changed hands, a 966.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.39 or 2.0 percent to $20.23.

Federated Premier Intermediate Municipal Income Fund : Approximately 112,100 shares changed hands, a 501.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.07 or .5 percent to $14.61.
