Walt Disney Co. fell $.38 or .8 percent, to $49.15.

Gannett fell $.18 or 1.0 percent, to $17.73.

New York Times Co. rose $.01 or .1 percent, to $8.28.

News Corp. fell $.18 or .7 percent, to $25.31.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.32 or .7 percent, to $47.10.

Viacom Inc. fell $.26 or .5 percent, to $53.30.
