NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Furniture Brands Intl Inc. : Approximately 1,050,600 shares changed hands, a 263.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.05 or 5.2 percent to $1.01.

Gabelli Utility Trust : Approximately 861,000 shares changed hands, a 506.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.06 or 1.0 percent to $6.18.

Great Northern Iron Ore Properties : Approximately 61,700 shares changed hands, a 264.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.87 or 1.1 percent to $79.37.

Herbalife Ltd. : Approximately 13,765,800 shares changed hands, a 287.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.35 or 5.2 percent to $27.41.

Medifast Inc. : Approximately 1,753,700 shares changed hands, a 1,004.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $3.86 or 13.1 percent to $25.50.

Rite Aid Corp. : Approximately 30,990,100 shares changed hands, a 312.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.10 or 7.6 percent to $1.41.

SemGroup Corp. : Approximately 1,395,900 shares changed hands, a 341.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.23 or .6 percent to $37.77.

ServiceNow Inc. : Approximately 3,409,400 shares changed hands, a 336.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $1.71 or 5.4 percent to $29.95.
