NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are mixed at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.16 or .5 percent, to $33.91.

Gold Fields fell $.06 or .5 percent, to $11.91.

GoldCorp. rose $.31 or .9 percent, to $36.10.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.50 or 1.1 percent, to $44.73.
