NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top coal companies are up at 10 a.m.:

Arch Coal rose $.23 or 3.1 percent, to $7.45.

Consol Energy Inc. rose $.36 or 1.1 percent, to $33.03.

Peabody Energy rose $.61 or 2.3 percent, to $26.61.
