Aflac Inc. fell $.29 or .5 percent, to $54.09.

American International Group rose $.23 or .7 percent, to $35.12.

MBIA fell $.17 or 2.1 percent, to $7.96.

MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.05 or 2.1 percent, to $2.38.

MetLife fell $.07 or .2 percent, to $33.16.

XL Group PLC fell $.08 or .3 percent, to $24.72.
