BP PLC rose $.29 or .7 percent, to $41.29.

Chevron rose $1.08 or 1.0 percent, to $108.04.

ConocoPhillips rose $.35 or .6 percent, to $58.23.

Exxon Mobil Corp. rose $.68 or .8 percent, to $89.09.

Marathon Oil Corp. fell $.03 or .1 percent, to $30.33.
