NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

AerCap Holdings : Approximately 3,793,000 shares changed hands, a 1,321.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.30 or 2.3 percent to $12.61.

Big Lots : Approximately 9,896,600 shares changed hands, a 757.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $3.23 or 11.5 percent to $31.27.

Constellation Brands Inc. class B : Approximately 4,900 shares changed hands, a 577.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.34 or .9 percent to $36.25.

Darden Restaurants Inc. : Approximately 10,159,100 shares changed hands, a 714.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $5.02 or 9.6 percent to $47.40.

Forest City Enterprises Inc. class B : Approximately 5,100 shares changed hands, a 1,125.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.24 or 1.6 percent to $15.31.

Gap Inc. : Approximately 37,544,600 shares changed hands, a 617.4 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $3.57 or 10.3 percent to $30.94.

McClatchy Co. : Approximately 3,268,700 shares changed hands, a 820.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.04 or 1.2 percent to $3.31.

New Mountain Finance Corp. : Approximately 2,345,600 shares changed hands, a 777.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.76 or 5.0 percent to $14.30.

Pep Boys -- Manny, Moe & Jack : Approximately 4,527,900 shares changed hands, a 738.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $1.11 or 10.4 percent to $9.57.

Vail Resorts Inc. : Approximately 1,687,600 shares changed hands, a 619.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $4.41 or 7.9 percent to $51.43.
