New York Times Co. fell $.09 or 1.1 percent, to $8.03.

News Corp. fell $.12 or .5 percent, to $25.02.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.10 or .2 percent, to $46.70.

Viacom Inc. fell $.05 or .1 percent, to $51.52.
