NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top coal companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Arch Coal fell $.02 or .3 percent, to $6.62.

Consol Energy Inc. fell $.41 or 1.3 percent, to $31.12.

Peabody Energy fell $.40 or 1.6 percent, to $24.40.
