Yum Brands, Ulta Salon, VeriSign are market movers

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Friday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:


Yum Brands Inc., down $7.39 at $67.08

The company, which runs KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, reported disappointing sales in China and backed a weak full-year forecast.

Christopher & Banks Corp., up 90 cents at $4.57

After closing over 100 stores in the last year, the women's clothing retailer said it turned a profit in the third quarter.


Zumiez Inc., down 7 cents at $20.68

The action-sports retailer reported weaker sales trends and issued a disappointing forecast on softer back-to-school sales.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance Inc., up $7.13 at $100.28

The retailer said that its net income rose 43 percent in its fiscal third quarter and posted an upbeat fourth-quarter forecast.

Enzon Pharmaceuticals Inc., up 51 cents at $6.98

The biotechnology company's board declared a special dividend of $2 to be paid on Dec. 21 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 10.

Tellabs Inc., up 61 cents at $3.56

The networking equipment company declared a special cash dividend of $1 to be paid Dec. 21 to stockholders of record on Dec. 14.

VeriSign Inc., down $5.19 at $34.15

The government approved a deal for the company to continue to manage the database for ".com" domain names, without raising prices.

BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc., up 12 cents at $1.72

The drugmaker and Presidio Pharmaceuticals Inc. said they will end an agreement for Presidio to be purchased by BioCryst.
