ACE L rose $1.08 or 1.4 percent, to $79.80.

Aflac Inc. rose $.66 or 1.3 percent, to $51.89.

American International Group rose $.16 or .5 percent, to $32.83.

MBIA rose $.28 or 3.5 percent, to $8.36.

MGIC Investments Corp. unchanged at $1.67.

MetLife rose $.39 or 1.2 percent, to $33.23.

XL Group PLC rose $.21 or .9 percent, to $24.36.
