Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.71 or 2.1 percent, to $34.43.

Gold Fields rose $.23 or 2.0 percent, to $11.96.

GoldCorp. rose $1.21 or 3.1 percent, to $40.88.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.47 or 1.0 percent, to $46.59.
