General Electric Co. fell $.05 or .2 percent, to $20.01.

Snap-On rose $.45 or .6 percent, to $74.60.

Stanley Works rose $.26 or .4 percent, to $67.03.

Whirlpool Corp. rose $.67 or .7 percent, to $94.63.
