General Electric Co. fell $.04 or .2 percent, to $20.85.

Snap-On fell $.38 or .5 percent, to $76.81.

Stanley Works rose $.85 or 1.2 percent, to $69.52.

Whirlpool Corp. rose $.73 or .8 percent, to $97.21.
