Caterpillar fell $.75 or .9 percent, to $84.44.

Deere & Co. rose $.91 or 1.1 percent, to $86.59.

Manitowoc rose $.05 or .4 percent, to $13.79.

Terex fell $.27 or 1.2 percent, to $22.38.
