Walt Disney Co. rose $.20 or .4 percent, to $47.26.

Gannett fell $.18 or 1.1 percent, to $16.93.

New York Times Co. rose $.04 or .5 percent, to $8.45.

News Corp. fell $.07 or .3 percent, to $24.67.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.30 or .7 percent, to $44.37.

Viacom Inc. rose $.06 or .1 percent, to $49.88.
