NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top coal companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Arch Coal fell $1.14 or 13.2 percent, to $7.52.

Consol Energy Inc. fell $2.23 or 6.3 percent, to $33.21.

Peabody Energy fell $2.44 or 8.4 percent, to $26.60.
