NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top utilities companies are down at 10 a.m.:

American Electric Power Co. fell $.41 or .9 percent, to $42.44.

Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. fell $.97 or 1.7 percent, to $56.79.

Dominion Resources Inc. fell $.73 or 1.4 percent, to $50.24.

Duke Energy Corp. fell $.58 or .9 percent, to $63.49.

Exelon fell $.35 or 1.1 percent, to $31.60.

PG&E fell $.43 or 1.0 percent, to $41.48.

Southern Co. fell $.66 or 1.5 percent, to $43.48.
