Comcast Corp. fell $.66 or 1.8 percent, to $36.52.

Walt Disney Co. fell $.03 or .1 percent, to $50.44.

Gannett fell $.41 or 2.3 percent, to $17.22.

New York Times Co. fell $.26 or 3.0 percent, to $8.43.

News Corp. rose $.46 or 1.9 percent, to $25.05.

Time Warner Inc. rose $1.52 or 3.5 percent, to $44.63.

Viacom Inc. fell $.23 or .4 percent, to $50.92.
