ACE L rose $1.11 or 1.4 percent, to $79.04.

Aflac Inc. rose $1.00 or 2.0 percent, to $52.19.

American International Group rose $.32 or 1.0 percent, to $33.12.

MBIA rose $.14 or 1.4 percent, to $9.91.

MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.02 or 1.1 percent, to $1.90.

MetLife rose $.34 or 1.0 percent, to $35.03.

XL Group PLC rose $.32 or 1.3 percent, to $24.54.
