RI gas prices continue to decline; down 4 cents

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen four cents, but drivers in the Ocean State are still paying well above the national average.

AAA Southern New England said Monday that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.73, down from $3.77 last week.

Prices in Rhode Island have fallen 23 cents over the last month. The current price is still 26 cents above the national per-gallon average.

Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.50 a gallon a year ago at this time.
