Caterpillar rose $.62 or .7 percent, to $86.41.

Deere & Co. fell $.11 or .1 percent, to $85.49.

Manitowoc fell $.19 or 1.3 percent, to $14.50.

Terex rose $.49 or 2.1 percent, to $23.75.
