Barrick Gold Corp. rose $.24 or .7 percent, to $35.62.

Gold Fields rose $.04 or .3 percent, to $12.34.

GoldCorp. rose $.48 or 1.1 percent, to $43.62.

Newmont Mining Corp. rose $.37 or .8 percent, to $49.11.
