NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.89 or 2.4 percent, to $35.81.

Gold Fields fell $.19 or 1.5 percent, to $12.33.

GoldCorp. fell $1.80 or 4.0 percent, to $43.57.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $3.20 or 6.0 percent, to $50.02.
