Walt Disney Co. rose $.09 or .2 percent, to $50.35.

Gannett fell $.07 or .4 percent, to $16.77.

New York Times Co. fell $.17 or 2.0 percent, to $8.14.

News Corp. fell $.09 or .4 percent, to $24.49.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.14 or .3 percent, to $43.45.

Viacom Inc. fell $.42 or .8 percent, to $53.54.
