Caterpillar rose $.17 or .2 percent, to $83.70.

Deere & Co. fell $.27 or .3 percent, to $84.42.

Manitowoc fell $.04 or .3 percent, to $13.82.

Terex rose $.26 or 1.2 percent, to $22.16.
