NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top biotechnology companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Amgen Inc. rose $.55 or .6 percent, to $88.05.

Biogen Idec rose $2.37 or 1.7 percent, to $144.43.

Celgene Corp. rose $.26 or .4 percent, to $74.32.

Gilead Sciences Inc. fell $.96 or 1.4 percent, to $67.38.
