American International Group rose $.07 or .2 percent, to $35.00.

MBIA rose $.06 or .6 percent, to $10.24.

MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.02 or 1.1 percent, to $1.87.

MetLife rose $.43 or 1.2 percent, to $35.34.

XL Group PLC rose $.29 or 1.2 percent, to $25.46.
