Walt Disney Co. fell $.70 or 1.4 percent, to $51.09.

Gannett fell $.36 or 2.0 percent, to $17.77.

New York Times Co. fell $.21 or 1.9 percent, to $10.65.

News Corp. fell $.65 or 2.6 percent, to $24.54.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.87 or 1.9 percent, to $44.12.

Viacom Inc. fell $1.27 or 2.3 percent, to $54.42.
