NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.59 or 1.5 percent, to $38.71.

Gold Fields fell $.23 or 1.9 percent, to $12.05.

GoldCorp. fell $.84 or 1.9 percent, to $42.90.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $1.21 or 2.2 percent, to $54.28.
