Comcast Corp. rose $.08 or .2 percent, to $37.03.

Walt Disney Co. fell $.11 or .2 percent, to $51.79.

Gannett fell $.11 or .6 percent, to $18.13.

New York Times Co. rose $.19 or 1.8 percent, to $10.86.

News Corp. fell $.17 or .7 percent, to $25.19.

Time Warner Inc. rose $.06 or .1 percent, to $44.99.

Viacom Inc. rose $.43 or .8 percent, to $55.69.
