General Electric Co. fell $.30 or 1.4 percent, to $21.73.

Snap-On fell $.10 or .1 percent, to $75.75.

Stanley Works fell $.33 or .5 percent, to $69.94.

Whirlpool Corp. fell $1.34 or 1.5 percent, to $85.71.
