NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top big-box retail companies were down at the close of trading:

Costco Wholesale Corp. fell $1.55 or 1.6 percent, to $94.78.

Target fell $.71 or 1.1 percent, to $62.23.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. fell $.94 or 1.2 percent, to $75.62.
