NYSE stocks posting largest volume increases


NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on New York Stock Exchange at the close of trading:

Badger Meter Inc. : Approximately 435,500 shares changed hands, a 570.8 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $5.73 or 15.1 percent to $43.62.

Colum ConcLCValStr : Approximately 2,800 shares changed hands, a 987.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.35 or 1.1 percent to $31.74.

Emeritus Corp. : Approximately 1,020,300 shares changed hands, a 548.7 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $1.09 or 4.8 percent to $24.02.

Health Care Property Investors Inc. : Approximately 14,214,700 shares changed hands, a 569.1 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $1.23 or 2.7 percent to $44.69.

Harry Winston Diamond Corp. : Approximately 2,485,800 shares changed hands, a 647.6 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.64 or 4.7 percent to $14.18.

Hubbell A : Approximately 10,100 shares changed hands, a 842.9 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.76 or 1.0 percent to $78.74.
