BP PLC fell $.24 or .6 percent, to $41.60.

Chevron rose $.74 or .7 percent, to $112.81.

ConocoPhillips rose $.46 or .8 percent, to $56.63.

Exxon Mobil Corp. rose $.30 or .3 percent, to $91.33.

Marathon Oil Corp. rose $.47 or 1.6 percent, to $29.85.
