NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top gold companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.43 or 1.1 percent, to $38.59.

Gold Fields fell $.06 or .5 percent, to $12.09.

GoldCorp. fell $.31 or .7 percent, to $43.16.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $.73 or 1.3 percent, to $54.21.
