Aflac Inc. rose $.03 or .1 percent, to $48.32.

American International Group rose $.11 or .3 percent, to $35.79.

MBIA rose $.02 or .2 percent, to $10.54.

MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.01 or .6 percent, to $1.65.

MetLife fell $.08 or .2 percent, to $35.29.

XL Group PLC fell $.11 or .4 percent, to $25.21.
