Apple Inc. rose $2.77 or .4 percent, to $638.62.

Dell Inc. fell $.20 or 2.0 percent, to $9.37.

Hewlett Packard Co. fell $.15 or 1.0 percent, to $14.22.

International Business Machines Corp. fell $1.59 or .8 percent, to $206.40.

Lexmark International Inc. fell $.31 or 1.4 percent, to $20.77.
