ACE L rose $.10 or .1 percent, to $77.54.

Aflac Inc. fell $.45 or .9 percent, to $47.61.

American International Group rose $.04 or .1 percent, to $35.49.

MBIA fell $.26 or 2.5 percent, to $10.29.

MGIC Investments Corp. rose $.01 or .6 percent, to $1.65.

MetLife fell $.45 or 1.3 percent, to $34.67.

XL Group PLC rose $.20 or .8 percent, to $25.05.
