American Express Co. fell $.27 or .5 percent, to $57.97.

Capital One Financial Corp. fell $.43 or .7 percent, to $58.23.

Discover Financial Services fell $.33 or .8 percent, to $39.44.

Mastercard fell $2.79 or .6 percent, to $462.09.

Visa Inc. rose $.68 or .5 percent, to $137.42.
