NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top biotechnology companies were down at the close of trading:

Amgen Inc. fell $.78 or .9 percent, to $84.65.

Biogen Idec fell $2.09 or 1.4 percent, to $147.29.

Celgene Corp. fell $2.55 or 3.2 percent, to $77.36.

Gilead Sciences Inc. fell $1.15 or 1.7 percent, to $67.63.
