Hospira rose $.14 or .4 percent, to $33.48.

Johnson & Johnson fell $.46 or .7 percent, to $69.20.

Eli Lilly & Co. fell $.45 or .9 percent, to $47.78.

Merck fell $.40 or .9 percent, to $45.89.

Pfizer fell $.30 or 1.2 percent, to $25.22.
