NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of some top coal companies are up at 10 a.m.:

Arch Coal rose $.12 or 1.7 percent, to $6.72.

Consol Energy Inc. rose $.74 or 2.4 percent, to $32.09.

Peabody Energy rose $.34 or 1.5 percent, to $22.72.
