Joplin business gets $351,000 low-interest loan

JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) — A southwestern Missouri architectural firm has received a $351,000 low-interest loan to help with an expansion.

Corner Greer & Associates Inc. plans to use the funds to refinance the purchase of a new location to help boost cash flow and expand. The Joplin firm expects to save about $26,000 over five years.

The Missouri treasurer's office says the loan comes through the state's linked deposit program.

Corner Greer designed Joplin's temporary high school after the deadly May 2011 tornado. It also is designing the city's new high school.
